DYNACUT minimum quantity lubrication MDM
- Optimizes lubricant consumption
- Increases product quality
- Extends the service life of tools
- Ideal for use in engraving machines
The DYNACUT MDM lubrication system is a low-pressure system with a coaxial spray nozzle that enables mist-free coolant application. The coolant tank is subjected to a pressure of 0.3 to 1.5 bar by means of a pressure control valve, depending on the viscosity of the coolant. This ensures that the lubricant and blast air are separated when the compressed air supply is activated and fed to the nozzle outlet at different pressures, whereby the finest coolant droplets are introduced into the air flow at the nozzle tip. The air volume and the pressure at the nozzle tip can be regulated by means of an adjustable needle valve on the nozzle unit. The supply of coolant is also regulated by means of a needle valve on the nozzle unit. When set correctly, the system operates completely mist-free. The activation of the lubricant and compressed air supply is controlled manually via hand-operated ball valves.
A major advantage of droplet cooling is that the microscopic droplets are so heavy that they do not scatter into the surrounding room air. Another advantage is the ability to direct the air flow with the embedded droplets specifically towards the tool and workpiece, which minimizes overspray (loss of coolant). The low air pressure also means that significantly less compressed air is consumed.
This system is compatible with all common coolants suitable for minimum quantity lubrication and can easily handle different viscosities.
The cooling system can easily be used in standard drilling, turning, milling and sawing machines. It is particularly suitable for machining aluminum and for cooling on CNC-controlled engraving machines.
The system can be equipped with a V-distributor for an additional nozzle. It is also possible to connect a double nozzle or a nozzle for saw lubrication.
