BE housing bearing
The linear system can be configured with different linear bearings, which are described in more detail below.
Ball-guided linear bearings
The linear bearings enable backlash-free linear movement and the absorption of high radial forces. The force is transmitted by circulating ball tracks, which are fixed inside by a polymer housing. The bearings are sealed on both sides, which reduces the ingress of dirt and the leakage of lubricant.
Use when: |
Use an alternative if: |
- a linear movement without play is required
|
- lubrication-free dry running is required

igus-J linear plain bearing
The iglidur® J bearings are characterized above all by a very low coefficient of friction in dry running and a very low stick-slip tendency.
Use when: |
Use an alternative when: |
- very high load ratings are required
- a dirt-resistant bearing is required
- maintenance-free dry running is required
- smooth and quiet running is required
|
- high requirements are placed on freedom from play
|
igus-J4 linear plain bearing
The iglidur J4 bearing material represents a cost-effective alternative and is designed for a long service life with low to medium loads.
Use when: |
Use an alternative when: |
- high load ratings are required
- a cost-effective alternative is required
- maintenance-free dry running is required
|
- high requirements are placed on zero backlash
