Bearing units for ball screws
In the locating bearing, the spindle is held in position without play by the use of two angular contact ball bearings in an O arrangement.
When the bearings are braced, only the end faces of the outer rings are in contact with each other due to the stepped inner ring.
This is the only way to ensure correct clamping.
The bearings are clamped to the spindle using the fixing nut supplied. This prevents axial play. Sealing rings on both sides ensure that no lubricant can escape or dirt can get into the bearings.

Delivery is airtight and welded to provide optimum protection for the bearing units.
e.g. for use in a CNC milling machine, the bearing unit must be able to absorb high axial forces. To make this possible, angular contact ball bearings must be installed. Often, deep groove ball bearings are used in the bearing units offered by other dealers. The consequences are high wear and the resulting inaccuracy. From the outside, you cannot tell which bearing type has been installed in the items on offer. Dealers often label the bearings as angular contact ball bearings out of sheer ignorance. We use the bearing units ourselves for our own projects and can therefore assure you that angular contact ball bearings have been installed.
